or so i thought. until i got a text from one of my dearest, dearest friend.

“…danial da xde. Mgrib td da kemb ke rhmtulh..”

how are things supposed to be perfect when you got that. just a week after hari raya. just a month before she’s due with her second baby.

nevermind my feelings. how is SHE feeling right now…

here comes a very interesting part. i spent my morning at a collague’s house, just the next street from my Minmin’s house. i was meant to visit Minmin. it’s raya, haven’t met them for ages, i missed her and everything.

but had to leave for somewhere else. but it’s ok, i still left my car there. so i got back there. perfect. only that, i had to leave as i had to reach my next destination by 6.30. an hour before Danial left. left us forever.

i don’t know. i can’t even imagine. rumah Minmin belakang tu je. memang i dah niat nak pegi pun. can’t blame my so-called packed schedule can i.

it’s raya time. one month to go before the second baby comes around. and everything else. how would Minmin feel. ya Allah… please, please grant her all the strengths in the world she needs it more than i do…

i don’t want to talk about Danial too much. it will break her heart big time if Minmin reads it. just so you know, he was a gorgeous kid. an angel.

Danial, aunty indy minta maaf. aunty indy memang nak tengok Danial tadi. esok, aunty indy janji datang ok sayang. Min, be strong. i wish i was there with you. how i wish i actually called you earlier. Min i’m sorry. i’m so, sorry.

No duit raya for Danial. only a bunch of al-Fatihah…

take chances. failures only mean we learn something new, and failures open a room for us to get better and even better.

i tried some ways. and they didn’t work. now is time to try another, and see if we fit. if we don’t, i’ll keep on walking and searching. “if you haven’t found what you’re looking for, keep looking,” Steve Jobs once said. who does not believe in Steve Jobs.

the thing is, when i know i have to serve a purpose, i get too obliged. like i’m carrying some responsibilities. to get you from a point to another. i will try to do just that. and because it means business, i get serious. not expecting perfection, but i’m expecting effort. effort for improvement. fine if you’re not perfect.

when you’re expected to steer the car, what else do you do. you steer. you don’t take the backseat. only, i’m a rough driver. i go off the beaten path. rougher roads, longer journey. but the scenery is always better. always, always.

well i really hope i have served my purpose. like, you’re really at point B from point A where you used to be. i hope you’re at point B now. i really do. don’t ask me where you’re at. you know where you’re at.

wow. i really didn’t know i can really be this sensitive. i really didn’t know.

but well. maybe i misunderstood after all. but next time i will be careful. careful not to say something like “i want to work with you to maintain my interest”. that could hurt the other party, especially if he/she is equally sensitive as myself. and that, gives the other party some kind of power, which when exercised, i will feel more hurt. it backfires.

oh and one more thing. i’m not that good anyways so no point counting on me.

p.s.: when i serve my purpose, i’m happy.

our wedding doorgift. inspired by a a friend of my mum’s, as a doorgift for majlis cukur jambul for her grand daughter. they put telur rebus inside. we found good quality face towels, fluffy enough to pamper our guests’ pretty faces, and thick enough to fit into those glasses.

the initial plan was to have pink towels for all glasses, but the shop did not have enough stocks in hand at that time, so we just took whatever that’s there, and i guess i like the colorful effect better

cost? RM0.89 each for the Almhult ceramic mugs from Ikea. i don’t remember the price of the towel, but i could say all in all it came down less than RM3.

but it did come with a little backache from transporting the glasses nevertheless, this idea inspired a couple of my mum’s friends, for their children’s wedding

oh just a little tip, if you’re buying the Almhult mugs in bulk, try to come on weekdays, as there aren’t too many people, and the floor staffs may be available to help you. those security guards at the loading bay are very helpful, they’ll help you load the mugs. don’t do it yourself especially if you’re the bride-to-be!

this week alone, i went to see the doctor twice.  and yesterday i finally managed to convince the doctor to do a blood test on me. after so long and god knows how many “you try these pills fist and see if they work and if they don’t, you come back to me”. so. the results is next week, let’s hope its going to turn out negative.

wow i’m so paracetamol and cough syrup overdose.

so. ya Allah Tuhan Maha Besar why didn’t i think of this thing all these while! the thought of this came across my mind yesterday, and alhamdulillah, i managed to get one.

this is Nutrilite Double X by Amway – 3 in 1 multivitamins, multimineral and  fruit & vegetable concentrate tablets. all the vitamins and minerals you need for your health and energy, in one box. and i grew up with Nutrilite, so no doubt of the effectiveness.

so yes. all these while i’ve taken some supplements not quite religiously, but well, not like it worked anyways. but i guess this one is pretty good. like, really good.

i took 2 dosages yesterday, re-aligned my sleeping time. went to bed at 12am and  managed to wake up on time. took another dosage in the morning, and its 930 pm and i’ve been sitting at my workstation since morning and i feel i’m still fine!

okay, too early for a verdict, i’ll come back in a week and tell you if it really works. for now, at 3rd dosage, i am perfectly happy, it’s a total turnaround!

so. enough of formal stuff. i promised myself i’ll indulge in a great book today, so book book here i come!

this is tough. but i don’t know. i never felt this miserable. i could just cry, yeah i am, anyways. but what good does it do. i don’t know. i thought i prayed for something good. for everyone around me. but what i get is too unbearable. oh ok the tougher the journey is, the more i will appreciate the end result. fine. this could be a sign that i WILL actually achieve The Two Things i wanted so bad.

i’m facing rough times here you know that. for heaven’s sake spare those cynics on me. for heaven’s sake. you know i don’t just sit there and do nothing.

good to know that I DO have my soft spot? yeah that’s because i am human. stop arguing about my soft spots already, i have loads of them. and what is wrong with that. after all the tough beings, you need soft spot to balance your life.

since this new semester started, the traffic seems crazier that it had ever been before. journey from ampang to shah alam on my normal route takes at least an hour and a half. which had usually been an hour before. that’s me spending almost four hours on the road everyday. as if two was not crazy enough.

to add the flavor, suddenly a tiny, but integral part of the car decided to stop working so there goes RM600. then my eyes decided not too be friendly with the contact lenses hence i need the glasses quite a lot of time. oh that’s fine, totally fine, only that, my prescriptions have increased and the existing glasses aren’t of any good, so there goes a couple of hundreds on them.

so. the very next day, Hagemaru the handsome cat decided it’s time to meet the vet with pretty severe earmites and all. there goes my two weeks petrol expenses. so i’m telling you, one thousand odd ringgit spent on things i never wish on. tough business.

did i mention about the flu and fever? oh yes i did didn’t i. i had to call off a couple of appointments with my clients, thanks to my bad cough i couldn’t even talk.

my energy is sucked out i feel almost lifeless. if only khairi is physically here by my side. but life must go on.

oh did i mention about losing concentration in classes, and whatever i read just vanished into the thin air and i end up not knowing what i’ve done in school? that is, the worst part of it all.

i need my mojo back, i really do.

but life is fair. or, God is fair.

after all those thrown on me, yesterday, i found out that i’m a Top Three winner of this one contest i have even forgotten about. i’m getting a free facial pampering session, for one and a half hours. plus free voucher good enough for me to grab some good stuff from the counter. aaaahhhh bliss!!!

pampering session. exactly what i need, this time around!

so that’s that. a little something, out of nowhere, in the midst of my tough time. good enough to help re-align my mind and emotion.

He gave me the rough times, so when a little something good comes, i appreciate it more than anything else.

God is great, isn’t He.  :)
